at first glance i thought this was a simple variant of the fx-100.
just like there were many different versions of the fx-82.
like the 82, the 100 series was aimed at the education market with a
feature set chosen to work well with college math syllabus.
however, it is apparent that this is a later remake, extending the
original line. it is ten digit and internally more accurate than the
original, plus a host of new features including, complex numbers, a delete
key, number bases and 2d stats. its actually a rather useful pocket
machine.
like the older models, it is powered by 2 AA cells that, this time, are
inside the unit. you have to remove the back of the machine to access
them. this was because the batteries lasted for decades as power
consumption is tiny (0.0001w).
other super-fx remakes include the fx-85v. |
